Wooden wall cross is not just a decoration. It is a special talisman at home. It was made by using the ancient art of Hutsuls (
an ethnocultural group of Ukrainians, who for centuries have inhabited the Carpathian mountains
). It used not only as a symbol of faith in the house but in church premises where they also serve as a symbol of worship to the God.
We use only non-toxic, hazard-free varnish intended for the long-term protection of wood. Please note, due to handwork, a color of wood may slightly vary from pictures.
I’m placed in Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine. This is the land of Carpathian mountains where lots of folk craftsman are living. In Ukraine, they are called Hutsuls. They make different kinds of art goods. If you are interested in products of national Ukrainian art, or in wholesale orders, please contact me, and I’ll make a special offer for you.
